“Out for a walk one windy morning on one of Florida's pristine & beautiful beaches, an Immature Night Heron flew by me and I managed to get a series of great pictures of it in flight… I developed this painting using quite a few of the diverse pictures I took that morning. Most of the foreground was built up with molding-paste and thick layers of gesso, sculpting a 3-D effect. The added texture is a great way to achieve very realistic, fine details.” -Peter R. Gerbert
