This method is very expensive by cost per print and these pieces of art look very much like the originals. No glass is required when framing. Paper Prints are printed with archival inks on fine art matt papers (unless otherwise specified.) They have close to the same archival quality as the canvas prints; but because they are printed on paper, they will require matting & glass when framing. What is an Artist Proof? Traditionally, artists sign Artist Proofs (A/P's) during printing as a measure of quality for the print job. In general: an artist's inspection and "approval of the overall quality" of the limited edition print: making the AP's more valuable to the right collectors when (and if) the edition sells out… What is Peter R. Gerbert’s preferred medium when painting? Currently: Acrylics on Ampersand Gessobord. The completed originals are varnished with several coats of brushed-on Golden’s UVLS varnish. What is the artist’s motivation, and are his paintings based on photography? “All of my paintings based on inspiration and require in-depth research into Florida’s most pristine places, where I study wildlife in nature. Creative designs with thrilling realism are my objective. The closer you look at my paintings, the more detail you'll see. Good photographs are required for correct animal & bird anatomy with accurate fine details; but most of my works are not based on the photographs themselves.
