"The Painted Buntings must have given God the idea to create rainbows, or vice versa. This painting was commissioned by a private collector up in Pennsylvania who thought I couldn't out-do "The Rainbow Makers" painting. I told him to put some money down, and he did! I think this is a better painting visually, with more realistic detail." -Peter R. Gerbert
