“The solid area of bluish-black was used to enhance indication of sunlight. The sun hangs low on the horizon to the right of the work: the Limpkins are lit backwards from the reflected light.”    -Peter G

Artist Note: I hope nobody thinks ‘The Black Edge’ refers to the oil disaster; the painting got its title before that event occurred. Could someone tell me why they're calling it a 'spill?' It's a 'gusher' or a 'jet,' it's not a 'spill.' -Peter G
